Watercolor: Tropical Florals 1 + 2
After over a year of being homebound, who isn’t dreaming of a tropical getaway?! Grab your watercolors and take a trip with us without leaving the comfort of your favorite crafting space! From Hibiscus and Anthuriums to Bird of Paradise and Plumeria, a couple of hours with your paints and paintbrushes and you’ll be feeling rested and recharged – like any good vacay – in no time.
Join us for the 2-part workshop and build on your beginner watercolors skills such as wet on wet and layering while learning how to create vibrant colors and more complex leaf shapes such as the Monstera, Palm and Banana Leaves, and create a final painted arrangement in either the tropical spray, bouquet or taxonomy style!
In this workshop on July 31 & August 7, you will:
- Brush up on beginner watercolor skills (ie: wet on wet)
- Sketch and create more complex floral and leaf motifs like Plumeria and Banana Leaf
- Mix and create vibrant, tropical color schemes
- Learn different layout techniques such as tropical spray or taxonomy
Brand new to watercolor and want to master the basics first? We recommend our Absolute Beginner Floral Watercolor or Zodiac Watercolors workshops, where you’ll learn foundational skills like prepping your paper and paints and watercolor techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and color blending.
