Searching for growth this spring? Bring home a new plant with painted pot or create a dreamcatcher to guard your nights. Join our MiniJams at Arlo Soho Spring Fest for special Earth Day celebration dedicated to Mother Nature!
Dreamcatchers are a fascinating Native American tradition. There are many versions of the dreamcatcher legend, but according to the tradition, when hung above your place of sleep the dreamcatcher it will absorb your dreams and all the good dreams will be passed on to the sleeper.
To honor this tradition we have created a Dreamcatcher CraftJam with a modern spin, where you can build a dreamcatcher to guard your night. This CraftJam is all about freeing your mind, relaxing and creating something meaningful to you.
In this class you will learn:
- The origin of dreamcatchers
- What materials are used
- How to weave your dreamcatcher
- How to decorate your dreamcatcher
- The meaning of different decoration materials
We will have all the supplies ready to build your personal dreamcatcher including hoop, suede, webbing material, and feathers, ribbons and beads for decoration. You can also bring personal objects and decorations you’d like to incorporate in your dreamcatcher to make it more personal and meaningful to you.
This event is not BYOB, but Arlo Soho has gotcha back! They have an amazing bar to serve all your favorite drinks!
