What classes do you teach at Craft Jam?

I am Leather Consultant at Craft Jam. Hence, I mostly teach Leather classes like ‘How to make a leather wallet?’ or ‘How to make a leather ear bud holder?’

How long have you been crafting?

For as long as I remember. I started crafting with paper making paper boats and sailing them in the rain puddles in Bombay, India. It was a childhood activity for fun but I still do it sometimes as it leaves me in a state of wonder as to which road my boat will take.

What do you like about crafting?

Crafting is a very intimate and hands on process. I feel like my senses are more enhanced and more involved in the process. It makes me happy and elevated and also satisfies the sense of escapism in me.

What’s the coolest thing you have ever made?

I would say this colorful collage of ‘Bohemia’. Each piece is collaged to give a right shape and structure to the face and the background. It took me around a month to make it. I have received a lot of recognition for this body of work.

What do you like about Craft Jam?

I like the fact that they are small two hour courses. It is more about the entire experience of crafting with yourself as much as it is of learning a new skill and have a product 100% handmade to take home.

If you could craft jam with anyone, who would it be?

I would love to craft jam with my Dad.

What’s the best advice you ever got?

To follow my heart and to only do things I am passionate about because life is too short to waste to mundane thing.

Best music to listen while crafting?

Currently I am hooked to ‘The Weekend’, so some of his soulful songs would set the mood for crafting.
