Meet Ophelia, an illustration major at Pratt Institute and an a rising young artist. She joins our growing group of talented JamMasters.

What’s your name? Pair it with an adjective that has the same first letter.

Optimistic Ophelia!

How long have you been crafting?

Since forever it seems, I remember cutting and pasting collages together with Elmer glue and little plastic scissors before anything else. Arts, crafts, general creativity and problem solving was such a major part of being a kid – I’m glad I never grew out of it!

What do you like about crafting?

There’s always something so real and satisfying about making things with your hands.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever made?

Most recently I found myself really into food and made a few 3D food collages, but new projects are always coming 😉

What do you like about CraftJams?

The social aspect- I don’t think adults get enough time to play with each other and let their creative juices flow.

If you could CraftJam with anyone, who would it be?

Chelsea Handler!

What’s the best advice you ever got?

Maybe art is never finished, but the artist will always know when it’s time to stop.

Best music to listen while crafting?

I’m a playlist freak (I like to organize) so I’ll put on whatever I’m feeling at the moment, but sometimes I like to have a show on marathon to zone out to.
