Overview:

In this beginner Craftcare Wellness Workshop Series, we will guide you through the fundamentals of watercoloring while practicing The Five Elements of Craftcare. The repetitive motions of watercoloring brush strokes are excellent for getting into the flow, de-stressing, and improving cognitive capabilities.

You will learn about different washes, mixing color and color temperature, layering, basic sketching and design. Each 1-hour session will allow attendees to learn techniques and ask questions while giving them the freedom to complete tasks at their own pace. With regular practice and check-in between the classes, expect to complete two paintings, socialize, and develop wellness skills that last a lifetime.

The one-time flat-fee includes:

  • A series of four virtual live sessions, meeting synchronously
  • Pre- and post workshop assessment (self-report tracking)
  • Private Slack group with students and JamMaster (teacher)
  • How-to instructions
  • Access to recordings of virtual sessions for asynchronous learning

Meet your
JamMaster Garine

About Garine

Garine is trained in plein air (outdoor) painting and tries to paint everything from life. (When that’s not possible, a photo will do.) She studied art history in college and Florence, Italy, and worked in the fine arts field in New York City for many years. She counts John Singer Sargent, Eduoard Manet, Wayne Thiebaud, Robert Henri, Caravaggio, and the impressionists as her inspirations from the past.

Garine loves painting architecture, patterns, color, shapes, sunlight, and blue skies. She paints for fun and for hire. She loves the beach and exploring new towns. She could live forever in Italy and paint all day long.
